Nearly 15 years after its conclusion, Friends continues to federate fans around the world. With no less than 10 seasons, the series has marked several generations with its characters emblematic that we all know. And a fan has managed to reconcile his passion of the series Friends with his love of LEGO.
Aymeric Fievet is a 34-year-old native of Rouen who had fun reproducing the Central Perk, the famous bar of the series, only with coins LEGO. With no less than 1730 bricks, the Rouennais reproduces with a great sense of detail the place where Rachel, Monica, Ross and their friends loved to come and have a good time.
All characters in the series, including Gunther, the owner of the coffee shop, were represented in this scene very faithful to the series. The elements of the decor have also been respected: coffee machine, armchairs, Phoebe guitar ... All the details are there! A meticulous and hard work of the Rouennais Aymeric Fievet who expresses himself on this subject:
I've always been a fan of the series and I'm a fan of LEGO, so I decided to combine my two passions. Just to do Central Perk, I took a week. Then I had to make some changes: I had to look for the references of the clothes and the characters. It took me a long time.
At the beginning, Aymeric Fievet did not have all the necessary parts to build the famous Central Perk in LEGO. So he first realized a construction Virtual using free software made available by LEGO. He then submitted his project on LEGO Ideas, the official platform of the brand to collect the ideas proposed by the creators.
Following the growing success and the many votes he received from the community (more than 10,000), Aymeric Fievet was finally contacted by the brand to market the famous set "LEGO Friends". It is not yet known when this marketing will be effective, but Aymeric Fievet already knows that it will receive 1% for each box sold. An undeniable proof that co-creation is one of the best keys to success for brands that want to innovate, and that the giant of the brick has understood.
