The mouse are very discreet, and whether we like it or not, they are an integral part of our daily lives. Alas, they do not have a good press and many people try to get rid of it by any means as soon as a rodent enters their home. But the artist we are going to talk about today has a totally different vision of the thing. Native Sheffield the United Kingdom, Simon Dell is a photographer who is passionate about the animal world, and who has also done his job.
Recently, while he was in his garden, Simon Dell made the discovery of a small colony of mouse. But rather than chasing them, the artist had the idea to build a mouse miniature village in which they could feel good. In return, Simon Dell has fun photographing them and makes great shots that make them perfectly homage.
The mice live their daily lives peacefully in these custom-made wood, stone and foam dwellings. And here is what Simon Dell tells us when we ask him about his miniature village:
Since cats often roam over the fence, I wanted to give them some security. So I picked up logs and stacked them around a box to house the mice and covered them with moss and straw to give them a little shelter. Needless to say, I built a small village.
We let you discover below the most beautiful photos of the artist and we invite you to go on his Facebook page to learn more about his project. Note that he even created a calendar highlighting his most beautiful shots of the mouse family.
