A pedestrian crossing to raise awareness against homophobia in Périgueux

The information was posted on the Instagram account of Périgueux Infos Commerce recovery by South West and published on Golem13. On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, the collective LGBT of Dordogne has launched a colorful operation.

The idea? Dress up a pedestrian crossing of different colors of the rainbow to catch the attention of passers-by and the media. And it's rather successful. The initiative is unpublished in France and I must admit, is quite smart especially since it is easy to implement. Obviously, this awareness work is ephemeral and the colors will disappear quickly from the first rains.
